Sítio Santa Rita is located in the Caparaó region, a national park located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The farm was founded in 1896 and it is managed by Tarcisio and his son Jhone Lacerda today. Sítio Santa Rita is a family legacy - the Lacerda family is the fourth generation of coffee farmers and Jhone was the first in his family to realize the importance of fermentation in coffee processing. Through years of research and testing, he was able to find different notes of fruits in his coffee, leading him to name this specific lot of coffee “salada de frutas” (fruit salad). This coffee has sweet and sour notes of passion fruits, tropical notes of creamy bananas, and sweet like milk chocolate.
