Armin Lopez is a second-generation producer - he inherited his first parcel of land from his parents in 2008. His farm, named Vista Hermosa, literally translates to 'a beautiful view', which is all you can see when you are up high in the mountainous terrain of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. As a family, they continue to work on improving the quality of their coffee while taking part in sustainable practices, such as installing water treatment infrastructure to minimize contamination of water and the farm soil.
This coffee is carefully processed after picking, and dry fermented (fermented without water) for 24-32 hours in a tank. The result is a clean and flavorful cup of coffee with comforting notes of sweet toffee, pleasant acidity of red apples, and nutty notes of almonds.
